HORSE SENSE FOR MOTORISTS

Both horses and motorists have the right to use the road. We also share the responsibility of considering each others needs. Please remember CARS DENT - HORSES DIE

As a motorist you should:

  • Look out for horses being ridden or lead

  • Drive slowly and carefully around corners

  • When you see a horse -  SLOW DOWN

  • Give the horse plenty of room when passing

  • DO NOT sound your horn or rev your engine

  • If you are asked to stop - please do so

  • Don't try and overtake just to save time - you could create an accident instead

Horses are powerful animals that scare easily
