ABOUT ME:
Me having some time away from the horses
Like most other kids, I wanted to ride, and in those days, we were allowed to help out at riding schools in exchange for riding. So from the age of 6, I was hooked on horses. About 7 years passed by and sadly I became allergic to horses and was forced to stop riding.
One day in my early thirties, I decided to see if I could actually be near horses without any allergic reaction. Hooray - success. Now I was hooked again, and within the first year of riding again, I had passed (with high results), Levels 1, 2 & 3 of the British Horse Society Horse Owners Certificate and owned my first horse - Holly. Since then I have owned various equines, but I now have a lovely ex-polo mare, a young Shetland gelding and an older Welsh pony.
In October 2005, I started my freelance groom business part-time and in January 2006, I gave up full-time employment so I could work with horses all day. Since then, my days were spent caring for my horses, those on livery with me and on client sites. The arthritis in my back was finally pushed to its limit when I was hit in the rear whilst driving in November 2010, so I no longer able to offer freelance groom services or livery.
As a BHS Gold Member, I am Insured for Personal Liability and Personal Accident in respect of my own horses or ones in my care. For more information, visit BHS membership.
Let me introduce you to my little family.
ABOUT BILLY B:
Billy has been with me since June 2008. He is a very cheeky unregistered 10.2hh Shetland gelding. Billy is 6 but acts a lot older. He is absolutely brilliant in traffic and is so chilled out. Billy stands for ages while you scratch his belly and hind legs. He loves humans and follows me around and helps me empty the wheelbarrow in his own special way!
ABOUT JOE BLACK:
I have know Joe for a few years and he has been a livery of mine for over a year. In October 2011 his owner decided to give up horses and I offered Joe a home as companion to Billy and April. Also my 8 yeard old God-Daughter has been learning to ride on him for the last few months. He is a great pony but is he doesn't want to be caught - make sure you have plenty of time.
ABOUT APRIL:

April (Premevera), is an ex-polo pony and broodmare. She hasn't played polo for 10 years though. She is an absolute darling and cannot get enough fussing, love and horse sweets. She follows me around when I am pooh picking so that I can scratch her under her mane and her favourite spot - the insides of her hind legs. We hack out in Windsor Great Park, around the Warfield and Binfield circuits. Soon we will venture out to The Look Out, Cookham and Knowl Hill Circuits and perhaps Bramshill etc
