HORSE SENSE FOR MOTORISTS
Both horses and motorists have the right to use the road. We also share the responsibility of considering each others needs. Please remember CARS DENT - HORSES DIE
As a motorist you should:
-
Look out for horses being ridden or lead
-
Drive slowly and carefully around corners
-
When you see a horse - SLOW DOWN
-
Give the horse plenty of room when passing
-
DO NOT sound your horn or rev your engine
-
If you are asked to stop - please do so
-
Don't try and overtake just to save time - you could create an accident instead
Horses are powerful animals that scare easily
